Stepping Stones Preschool Program
Stepping Stones is a ministry of CRA. Throughout the year, we provide activities to help those with preschoolers-3rd grade. Each month we will have a field trip, a playdate, and a meeting covering homeschooling topics or Moms’ Night Out. A few times a year, we will take longer field trips called Far Away Fridays—which will be about 1 ½ hours away from Fayetteville.
Families considering homeschooling, or just starting out, will benefit from the Stepping Stones program. Adults will be able to share with those who are just beginning to homeschool as well as get advice from experienced homeschool moms. Children will have the opportunity to socialize and participate in activities with others their age. |
Annual Fine Arts SeriesEach spring we will host a series of events based on a famous artist. Events will include picture studies and hands on activities based on the chosen artist's works and/or their life. Students of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Events held each year will include: Masters & Me Tea - An opportunity to be introduced to the artist and study one of his/her pieces while enjoying tea. Workshops - Following a picture study, students will create a piece of art based on the piece studied. End of the Series Celebration - This can be something like a birthday party in which we engage in activities based on the artist and what we have learned through the series. This celebration includes a Student Art Gallery in which students may bring their artwork from the workshops or something they have worked on at home that is in the artist's style or honoring the artist. 2020 Series - Vincent van Gogh 2021 Series - Johannes Vermeer 2022 Series - Wayne Thiebaud 2023 Series - Henri Matisse 2024 Series - Bev Doolittle |
