Graduation RequirementsAt Chestnut Ridge, we believe parents should trust their instincts in providing the best possible education for their children. With that in mind, we have developed three tracks for a high school student to follow. All three tracks require a minimum of 22 credits to graduate. Parents are encouraged to be in communication with their student and utilize the support provided by Chestnut Ridge when choosing which track to follow. At any time during the high school years, a parent may request a meeting with the Program Director to discuss the track chosen. Each of the tracks are described below.

Early Graduation
Chestnut Ridge Academy does NOT encourage early graduation unless the student has a solid plan in place for after graduation. For example: Military service, employment offer that requires diploma, or college acceptance.
In order to graduate early, the student and parent must fill out an Early Graduation Application and submit it for approval.

High School Orientation
All students entering 9th grade and/or who are new to our program are required to attend a high school orientation or a counseling session with our high school coordinator or homeschool program director. The purpose of the orientation is to clarify the graduation requirements, discuss how to earn high school credits and inform parent/student of opportunities available for high school students who are registered with Chestnut Ridge Academy.
