The disaster of Hurricane Helene is still a reality for many in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. They are entering a new phase of the disaster with temperatures going below freezing and snow already starting to fall in the area. Chestnut Ridge Academy will be collecting supplies to be carried to North Carolina by one of our families next week.
From now until Wednesday, Oct 23, we will be collecting new items to help victims deal with the cold. (Please see list below). You can drop off supplies at our office at 34 Simmons Circle, Fayetteville during regular office hours. If you drop off during non office hours, be sure items are in weather proof bags or boxes and you can place them on the porch. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Supplies needed: ~ Insulated clothing and footwear (coats, gloves, hats, scarves, sweaters, boots) ~ Waterproof outerwear ~ Thermal blankets ~ Sleeping bags ~ Portable propane heaters ~ Cooking stoves with fuel ~ Hand warmers Thank you in advance for your donations and prayers for these people who are our neighbors and still dealing with this tragedy.
