Celebrating Growth and Opportunity: Chestnut Ridge Academy's Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening in Fayetteville, Tennessee
Despite the rain, it was still a bright and promising day in Fayetteville, Tennessee as community members gathered to witness a significant milestone in local educational development—the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of Chestnut Ridge Academy's new facility. Spearheaded by founder and CEO Mrs. Patti Hunt, the event marked not only a new chapter for Chestnut Ridge Academy but also a commitment the organization's Mission and Purpose statements which include seeking out and providing resources to families who educate their children at home.
A Vision Realized
Mrs. Hunt's journey began with a passion for education and a heartfelt dedication to supporting families who educate their children at home. Over the years, Chestnut Ridge Academy has grown from a small initiative in a spare room in Mrs. Hunt's home into a full-fledged educational institution, designed to nurture, educate, and empower its students. 
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Mrs. Hunt expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the new facility a reality. “This day signifies not just the opening of a new facility, but the opening of new opportunities for homeschool students,” she stated. “We are committed to our Mission and Purpose Statements so that each child can get the tools they need.”
Educational and Social Offerings
Chestnut Ridge Academy offers a wide variety of activities. Academic activities offered include sign language classes, Theater Club, Homestead & Hospitality Club, Book Club, and Robotics. Social activities offered include events such as game nights, holiday parties, and major events like homecoming and prom. 
In addition, Chestnut Ridge Academy enjoys celebrating students' strengths and milestones. Each spring the organization offers a Kindergarten Graduation, and Eighth Grade Recognition Night and a High School Cap & Gown Graduation. 
Looking Ahead
As CRA's Board of Directors looks to the future, the vision for Chestnut Ridge Academy remains clear: to continue fulfilling the Mission and Purpose statements in even more creative ways. 
The grand opening of Chestnut Ridge Academy in Fayetteville, Tennessee, signifies a promising step forward for homeschool families seeking dedicated educational support.

CRA is welcoming their alumni and high school students to the 2024 Chestnut Ridge Academy Homecoming. Please join the “CRA Homecoming 2024” Facebook group to stay up to date on all the details (ticket sales, etc)!
The event will be at Huntsville Botanical Gardens Grand Hall, Veranda, and Conservatory. Homecoming ticket holders will be provided with a ticket to the Galaxy of Lights walking tour for when they leave the venue. The Galaxy of Lights will remain open until 10:00 PM. Tickets will also include food, DJ, opportunity to win prizes, memento(s), professional photography session, photo booth, court, Alumni of the Year awards, and Athletes of the Year awards. Alumni and high school students must be in good standing with CRA in order to attend.
